MAMMA TI

Growing up on the island of Kauai and practicing hula, I developed an intimate relationship with plants. After many years of study in western botanical medicine, I have developed my own, unique way of practicing herbology. My goal is to make it as user-friendly as possible. This is about sharing knowledge so more people can empower themselves with their own health.

My own journey into health and herbology has been joyful, full of inspiration, creation, experimentation (sometimes with full-on kitchen-chemistry explosions!), intuition, and ultimately finding an avenue for my own spirituality. Through my volunteer work in service to women, my practice has developed a focus on reproductive health, trauma recovery, and soothing the nervous system.
As an experienced health consultant, I have found it useful to tie together culture and science. I like to pair a client with a plant that can act as an ally as well as a medicinal resource. For example, someone who is dry and landlocked likely responds well to desert plants, swimmers might respond well to seaweeds or herbs that grow in marshes. Breaking down negative beliefs and working out the emotional component of a physical ailment is another major part of the work I do with clients.
